You enter the underground.

The cave yawns before you, extending an untold distance into the darkness. Only the dim lights you've brought illuminate the terrain; the ground is rough and uneven, and sharp stalactites hang from the ceiling. You hear the distant drip of water, and little else. The darkness is suffocating, and your lanterns seem feeble now, this far underground. If they were to break or go out, you'd have little hope of seeing the surface again.
