Pre-Heresy Caliban
The forests of Caliban are treacherous and unwelcoming. Twisted trees raise to the sky covering the world in gloom. A shade of dark green and brown is what the tired eyes of the planet are used to. Existence is a battle for survival against the Calibanite forests. Deadly animals inhabit the darkness, Great beasts stalk the trees forcing humanity to hide and cower behind the walls of their fortresses and keeps.
Knightly orders possessing arcane technology hunt the monsters. Riding atop powerful destriers, these men are raised to die by the sword in defense of a dying civilization that persists against the rage of the wild.
But there is hope. There is the Lion.
