当调查员指出多个身份来自同一记忆、理解四器困住的是召唤物并拒绝毁坏时，怪物停止温和解释。所有人物可以在同一句话上齐声开口，随后面孔淡去，只剩强光中的不定轮廓。它用一个调查员刚才说过的话作结：“破掉它，或者留在这里。”
它取消大部分场景幻象，只保留已经在规则中允许的威胁。真实出口仍可验证。调查员可以撤退或按第八章运来四件铅器，向内收紧，合力驱逐。这是原作真正的胜利路线，不能被“打空伊万杰琳生命值”替代。
