On the Road - Campfire
By late afternoon, the farmland has given way to
rolling plains and hard scrabble sloping into the
uplands. Looking for somewhere to break for supper,
you find a quiet clearing off to one side of the trail
where you can rest. A nearby creek brings fresh, cold
water down from the highlands, old logs are pulled
up next to a ring of stones for a fire and it looks as
though this is a rest area commonly used by travelers.
