D&D Pub/Tavern No music
Lanterns gutter over scarred oak tables, washing the room in amber gloom. No music plays here—only the clink of mugs, the scratch of dice, and the soft hiss of the hearth. Smoke from tallow candles coils with stew steam, masking sweat, steel, and wet wool. A scarred barkeep measures ales like secrets, sliding tankards with a nod that says, talk costs extra. Regulars claim corners: cardsharps, caravan drovers, a priest with muddy hems, a sellsword counting coins twice. A warped notice board curls above a peg of loaned blades. Floorboards complain at every step; the rafters keep their own counsel. Strangers receive glances, then room enough to stay unwelcome. House rules are carved into the bar: No brawls, No credit, No questions after midnight. Yet bargains bloom like bruises. When the wind moans through the shutters, everyone drinks, and nobody asks whose boots drip blood on the splintered floorboards tonight.
