Busy Medieval Tavern
The ale flows richly in this tavern, and it shows. All around you there's chatter and laughter. War veterans have made themselves comfortable in the back, playing cards for gold. Several young maidens have gathered 'round to watch the game --the men revel in the attention. Cheers erupt as the guard-captain wins the pot with a daring move. He deals another hand, a proud grin on his face.
A regular, notorious for his unsavoury drinking habits, is wreaking havoc over by the bar, furiously yelling and waving an axe around while the barmaiden tries to calm him. He knocks over a barrel with his weight and nearly starts a fight.
Some other patrons turn and laugh.
And the fiddler? He fiddles on, with delight.
