Battle Arena Colosseum
Sack cloth blindfolds are ripped from your faces. You squint uncontrollably as rays of sunlight pierce through cracks in the heavy oak doors ahead.
The sound of an excited crowd roars above you.
“Take them!” barks one of the half-orc guards, gesturing to a table laden with weapons and other equipment.
You take in your situation. You’re in a small, stone chamber. The only furniture is a battered old table on which rests a selection of gear.
There are two exits. Your guards block one that leads into darkness. Another exit leads out, via a short tunnel, to sunlight.
You proceed through the tunnel and into the blinding sunlight. The roar of the crowd is deafening.
Behind you, the heavy oak doors slam shut.
On the other side of the arena is another group of prisoners much like yourself.
A voice bellows from above:
“New blooood”
The prisoners opposite you look hesitant. But after sharing a few nods of grim determination they begin to charge at you.
I need you all to roll for initiative...
