Annual Winter Ball
Ever so slowly, the sky above begins to darken as candles, lanterns and bonfires illuminate the square in flickering light, daring to keep away the cold that the evening will certainly bring. A fresh coat of snow paints the landscape, but the market is still bustling with people preparing for the night’s most anticipated festivities. The land's official Winter’s Ball is bringing people from all over, adorned in their most fine dress, linked by the arm, walking hand in hand towards the gardens where a large, white tent stands erect like a great mountain. Ice sculptures litter the grounds while beautifully colored decorations are strewn about, bringing the quaint town to life in a vibrant way. Inside the tent, it is warmer and more comfortable with seating, food and several bonfires where the people can lounge or dance to the live music being played.
